I am Obrianna; an artist who specializes in watercolor landscapes. I live and work here in the great state of Maine where I am known for my highly-detailed paintings, filled with natural color and scenic lighting effects. The beautiful landscape and unique culture inspire and motivate me in my artwork. From the glory of a sunset over the ocean, to the historic architecture, to the details of an ice covered berry or a brilliantly colored fall leaf, Maine never stops amazing me. I look forward to every day spent painting Maine.
I received training in Fine Art at Pensacola Christian College. It was there that I developed my skill and knowledge in realism. For several years, I have now taught art classes, ranging from five-year- olds to seventy-five. I teach in groups or in more private one on one classes. I also accept commissions and am happy to work with clients as to subject matter and pricing. I create portraits of family, friends, or a cherished pet; paint memories of an old home, or capture a favorite view to keep in your home forever. Watercolor is my favorite medium, but in these cases, I also enjoy working in pen and ink, pencil, colored pencil, watercolor, oils, or mixed media.
I believe that the main purpose of art is for the enjoyment and appreciation of beauty. It is my goal to continually improve in my art, and to help others in their enjoyment of art.
My accomplishments include being accepted and awarded in numerous competitive art shows. These include:
My work has been exhibited in numerous shows such as:
I have also lectured at a Pecha Kucha and displayed my work in that venue. I was the vice president and am a current of the Bangor Art Society and a member of the New England Watercolor Society
I love to work with client's ideas. Whether painting a nursery ceiling with clouds, designing a backdrop for a dramatic production, creating one of a kind wedding stationary, painting a mural, or painting a work of art on a boulder in the front yard. I want to make your vision come to life!
